Compassionate Transitions Coaching
Transitions are a natural part of life. No one avoids them. Some actively seek them for they are a powerful way we humans unfold and grow into more complete beings. Transitions plunge us into discomfort, into the unknown. By their very uncertainty, they force us into the present moment, into that place where we don't know what's next and where our normal guidance systems won't function. Transitions release our grip on what we know so we can be transformed into higher functioning versions of ourselves. Generally we only realize the power of the transition as we look back from a distance. But, as we grow to understand the true nature of transitions, the transition itself will assist us in the process and help us move through it more quickly with profound results.
A few of the transitions I can help with are:
- Learning to live more intimately with chronic illness
- Finding peace and grace in illness, your own or your love one's
- Providing the safety to explore and experience your hidden feelings about the diagnosis
- Supporting yourself and your loved one (spouse, child, sibling, parent, partner) during their transition process
If you are going through a transition I can help. I have been there and know how to navigate the obstacles why not to duck, and why its so important to embrace them with a fervor. The last fifteen years of major transitions have taught me well and prepared me to be your guide. I can help as you find compassion for your process and yourself while you confront your fears. I can show you how to minimize the physical effects of stress that are normal to your reality. I guide you into the gift hidden within the transition so you can find the meaning so integral to intimacy. As you risk a face-to-face encounter with your experience a new intimacy with life results. I faciliate that encounter, in safety and compassion, and with full understanding of the transition's power.
I was happily surprised at how helpful my coaching session with Gayle was. I learned in about a half hour how to release blocks that have kept me from moving forward in my life. Now I can keep using that information over and over again! People go through years of counseling to let go of the things she can ehlp you release in minutes!—Jessica,

The Fearlessness PRoject
The Fearlessness
Project taught me that suffering is optional.
Prior to this coaching, I did not realize
that my mind was creating my suffering by
thinking I should be experiencing something
other than what is. For example, pain does
not create suffering. My thoughts that I shouldn’t
be in pain were making me suffer. Through
the Fearlessness Project, I am learning to
trust that all is as it should be. When I
look closely at my fears and stressful thoughts,
they dissolve. My upbringing was based in
the teachings of New Thought so while I didn’t
expect these concepts to be difficult, they
were mind expanding for me. I am more peaceful
and at ease than ever. Gayle was an excellent
guide/navigator through the process and helping
me face my fears. She and her work are blessings
to the world.

Portland
The Fearlessness Project began in September
2007 as a service for people who wanted to make a substantial committment
to self-compassion and compassion for others. New classes begin as six individuals come forward. The project lasts 6 months and includes
weekly group sessions and personal calls.
You learn from personal work and each other. The project is not based on a teacher / student relationship. It is informed by the group's energy, the group teaching and learning together. Personal
sessions are via telephone or in-person if that is logistically possible.
Each
conversation, whether group or private, brings forth whatever is timed to be seen and processed, generally those things we don't know that we don't know. As the class progresses this evolves, based upon the new and growing levels of honesty and self-awareness.

Working with Gayle I have
discovered many new things about myself. I
am forever grateful to her for giving me the
courage to go deep within and take a look
at the loving person I know I am. All aspects
of my life have become more genuine. My work
and my relationships with others are just
the beginning. I feel far more present to
participate in this journey called life. Thank
you, Gayle, for all that you do. You are my
